I would go with the 51. More clarity and cuts through the mix. Also, just roll back the tone knob a little bit to get the 63 tone.

Gotta say the PRS sounded freaking full and thick. Don't know how else to describe it. All sounded good.

I have a regular S2 594 Eriza Verde, and an S2 594 Thinline in white. Both S2 series, made in the U.S. with identical made-in-Korea hardware, but two completely different guitars when it comes to playability and tone. The regular S2 has a THICK maple cap, and it's an actual figured maple cap, not plain maple with a nice laminate on top like the SE models. Real thick slab of figured maple. The Thinline however has no maple cap, it's all mahogany from bottom to top. I'm not a "tonewood cultist", but especially with distorted tones there's an audible difference between them, clear as night and day. I can hear the difference in this video as well. The sound of the all-mahogany Thinline is somewhat more foamy, softer, thicker, rounder, there's less high-frequency attack. The regular S2 with the maple cap is more balanced with slightly less low end, but a much crisper high end and a much more percussive attack. Also worth mentioning: the regular S2 has a "pattern vintage" neck, read: medium thickness, whereas the Thinline has a "pattern thin" neck. And that is an important difference. For my short fingers, the thinner neck on the Thinline is much more comfortable and plays super-fast. The "pattern vintage" neck on the regular S2 is just about at the edge of still being manageable for me, but I don't like it for fast and complex things, too chunky and too "in the way" for me. If only they had a regular S2 with a nice maple top and a pattern thin neck... a man can dream.
